After becoming poly, I can't help but think sometimes that this would be a much better lifestyle for a lot of people. Like celebrities for instance? Because THEY BE CHEATIN'.

Yeah, I get that it would be an even weirder headline for Kristen Stewart to come out as poly, but at least then it wouldn't be the scandal of the season to sleep with someone else other than your boyfriend. I'm glad I can follow my heart and not have to make apologies or feel guilty after.
There are a couple non-monogamous or poly celebs, but not many. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett have talked about it a little. Tilda Swinton has two men in her life and talks about it openly. Hugh Hefner for sure, he did it on TV. Pink was. Possibly Monique and Dolly Parton. I actually think a lot of celebs have agreements with their partners since they travel so much and spend so much time apart, but they try to keep it out of the public eye.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we were just talking about Tilda Swinton last night. She's awesome. But the amount of flack she's gotten for the poly thing is incredible. It's different for men. It's totally acceptable for Hugh Hefner to have a bunch of scantily clad girlfriends living in his home, but for Tilda Swinton to have a husband and a boyfriend, well that just makes her WEIRD.
DeleteBut yes, I think celebrities probably do have agreements with their partners. And if they don't I feel like they should. But since they don't talk about it, it seems like they're cheating when they get caught.
